U.M.A.D. Grievance Procedure

Grievance Procedure

Overview:

This is a guide to allow members a clear path to follow and resolve any dispute between other unit members.

The main principle of the grievance procedure is that we're all adults who share a desire to be part of a kickass group while we get to run around in giant 100 ton war machines and blow up stuff. Per our mission statement, we are to present ourselves as a united group, all voices will be heard and all shall be treated with dignity and respect, fairly without any form of bias. All members will follow the Grievance Procedure without the fear of any retribution or retaliation.

Grievance Procedure Process:

Stage one:

Any dispute between two parties should try to be resolved between themselves in a non formal, open discussion with the intent to resolve the issue. Sometimes the outcome is simply to agree to disagree. As long as both parties are able to resolve the issue in a courteous manner, the issue will be considered resolved.  Mediation can be sought via company level chain of command staff if required by either/both parties. Open and honest discussion is the priority of this stage.

A mediator should be used if needed to allow both parties a neutral referee that keeps the discussion from spilling over.

If at this stage the dispute is considered resolved by all parties, no further action will be taken.

Stage two:

If resolution is not found via the stage one of this process, then the mediator will request the issue be advanced to the Company CO/XO for further consideration. Where after the person in question steps in to mediate the matter if needed.

If at this stage the dispute is considered resolved by all parties, no further action will be taken.

Stage three:

If resolution is not found via Stage two of this process, then the Company CO/XO will request the issue be advanced to the U.M.A.D  Council or the Unit CO/XO for final resolution in the matter.
This is the final stage of the grievance procedure, any/all resolutions reached at this stage are final and binding to all parties involved.
